Where do you go when everything falls apart?

I am just going to get right down to it, no fluff… Jesus is our Father and our very best friend. He leads us and guides us into truth, into who He is and what He has done for us. He leads us with a mighty but gentle hand, always fighting for us and helping us to know who He really is and who we are in Him.
If you want to be specific about it, it is the Holy Spirit that does this for us, but just remember, Jesus said, “I and the Father are One.” (John 10:30). There is a Trinity here. The Father, the Son and the promised Holy Spirit – the Three are One. So, sometimes you may see Him as your Heavenly Father, sometimes you will sense the Holy Spirit moving in your life, orchestrating circumstances, making you aware of something or just plain sitting with you during a difficult time. Other times, you will see Jesus face to face. Yes, I said that. I have seen His fiery eyes and anyone in the Spirit may also see that, if the Lord wills. He makes Himself known to His children….He is not hiding.
So, back to my question… where do you go when everything falls apart? I hope and pray that your answer is that you turn to Jesus. If it’s not, then I pray that my words will lead you home – lead you back into Jesus’s arms, so He can hold you and feed you.
From the day you were born, even before that according to Jeremiah 1:5 – which says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” You were called to be a special people, a people purposed for God. A people so precious to Him that He would send His only Son to die a horrific death - where, on that cross, He carried the weight of ALL YOUR SIN on Himself – and not just YOUR sin, however important that is for you to grasp at this moment, but for the sin of the whole world!!
Do you know how heavy it feels when we do just one thing wrong and we are convicted in our spirit and know full well that it is wrong? It’s heavy! Now imagine the weight of ALL of the wrong things you have said and done in your life – it is too great for you to carry – you would be crushed under that weight if it came on you all at once. Now think about not just your sin, but the weight of EVERYONE’S sin. This is what Jesus carried when He went to the cross. And He was CRUSHED for all that sin! Can we just pause here for a moment to let that sink in? This is serious and very real.
Now, do you know or remember that, back before Jesus came to earth, God gave His people (the Israelites) a way to be free from sin and that way was to sacrifice a perfect/blemishless animal on the altar and spill its blood? For God has said, in Hebrews 9:22, “Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin.” So, if you wanted to be forgiven of your sin against God, and be free of guilt (back then), you would sacrifice an animal daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, shedding its blood and then you would be clean.
Now, we don’t do that anymore because God has made a new way for us to be re-born into His Kingdom. And that way is through the sacrifice and blood of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Who lived a perfect life, was crucified on the cross, was dead and buried, and rose again on the third day – Just as He said (1 Cor 15:4). This is a living testimony that will never die. Jesus gained heaven for all of us through His sacrifice and His blood.
So, again, I ask you, where do you go when everything falls apart?
