The Answer

The answer is not in the next thing...It's in dependence upon God.

I saw this when thinking that going out to dinner with friends would satisfy my internal longing. It never does. There's always just a "next thing."

How many times do you have to turn to things to realize that they are not satisfying your needs? They never do, but you keep thinking it's the next thing that will. And it comes in many forms ... It's an ILLUSION. It seems attractive and convincing, but never delivers. It satisfies temporarily but always leaves you looking for the next thing.

Be careful. If you follow illusions it can turn into delusion.

Turn around. God is in the shadows and He is waiting for you.

My hope and trust is in you, Father, and in You ALONE. Amen.
