A Mustard Seed of Faith

And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 (NASB).
Did you see that? “…and NOTHING will be impossible for you.” What an amazing and wonderful promise. Do you believe it? Do you see that God is saying that it only takes a mustard seed of faith and NOTHING will be impossible for you? NOTHING!!!! Do you live believing like that?
Right now, as I am writing this, I am recognizing that it is simple faith, so simple that many good folk miss it.
When God says something, He means it. That means that it is real, true and being applied to your heart as you are reading it, according to your faith. Do you get what I am saying here? Some people, even me at times, have tried to think of what God’s Word says, but are not able to apply it to their lives because they are not trusting the Word through faith.
This faith, is simply believing and accepting what God says is true. That’s it! You don’t have to jump through hoops, convince yourself that it is true, try to get it from your head to your heart, so to speak, or even read it a dozen times to try to get it in.
We are simple preachers of a pure and true Word. A Word that stands on its own, a Word that doesn’t waver and a Word that doesn’t fail. If you can think about the Word like that, you will, prayerfully, start to see that you don’t need to do anything but simply believe it.
Oh, how great the Father’s love for us, that He would trust us with His Word, that He would give us His Son, that Jesus would save us from God’s wrath and continually remind us not only that He is with us, but that He loves us passionately and endlessly and that His Word is our solid Rock for this life and for the life to come.
May you always remember that God is near to the broken-hearted and He came in the flesh to save sinners, like you and me.
Love, in Him,
Paula
